Head Pro, Kooros Ghasemi
Kooros Ghaesmi has been the Head Pro at Gwendolen Park Tennis for the past 3 years, and has over 14 years of coaching experience in the GTA. Kooros has held previous coaching roles in local clubs such as Tournament Park Tennis Club, Eglington Flats, The Cricket Club, and has also coached in the high performance programs at the North York Tennis Association (NYTA). Kooros has also acquired international coaching experience in Spain, France, and Croatia, and studied Kinesiology for 2 years.
Kooros has experience coaching all levels of tennis, from beginner all the way up to national and international level juniors and adults. He is a certified Level 1 Tennis Canada Instructor, and a member of the Tennis Professionals Association of Canada. Kooros has a true passion for coaching, and a natural ability to help every player reach their true potential on the court.
Along with his extensive coaching background, Kooros has competed on the ITF Pro Circuit, as well as the ATP Challenger Circuit. He was a hitting partner for former world No. 1 player Simona Halep, along with Marin Cilic and other top 100 ATP players.
Kooros has previously held a Doubles ATP Ranking and ITF World Tour Ranking. He has competed in Pro Tournaments all over Europe, as well as in the United States & Africa. Most Recently Kooros qualified for the main draw of the $100,000 ATP Challenger event in Granby, Quebec.
